Um Spring????? & Happy Birthday Hunter!!

Today we all got up from our wonderful time of swimming and headed to Yelm to my nephew's football, birthday party in the park. It had snowed but the roads were fine. We don't really watch the news since we have little eyes who worry, so off we went. My sister Catherine had mentioned that Nana had wonder if we were going to make it. Wonderful Nana, I thought, always concerned. We headed out on I-5 ready for the day. This is however the pictures that we took on the freeway and then decided to turn around. Gregg and I could not believe it. Its March. So Hunter, my sweet nephew, Happy Birthday. You light up my life. You are so smart, so wonderful with your little cousins, always willing to play a board game, always welcome to stay with me for any summer, master of toots----Happy Birthday!

Hotel Fun!

Iz and P

We were invited to go to the Skagit Casino with the kids to stay in Suits and play in the pool. Papa Tony got everyone Suits (I think he may gamble a little too much since they were compt, lol). He took everyone to the buffet, where Nelly (my sister) out ate everyone, and then we all swam in the pool, watched movies, and ate snacks. The adults took turns walking around the casino. Josh was the BIG winner ($100+) and Crystal spent the least amount of money( a whole $10). It was fun for all the cousins to hang out with each other and to spend time together. Patience decided she liked me and even chose her Auntie Allison over her Auntie Titi in the pool (wow). Madison loves to swim so spending hours in the pool was heaven.

Madison's Easter Play

We have been so blessed with the preschool and kindergarten that Madison has attended the past two years. Her teachers are amazing! Madison and the other kids put on an art exhibit. The kindergartners were live art of the life of Jesus from the manger to the tomb. It was so wonderful. The kids then had a sing along with everyone. It was so much fun. Here are some pictures of the night. Madison was one of the disciples at the last supper (she was disappointed that she was not allowed to eat the bread). Emma will be attending Preschool next fall and is in love with teacher Kodi.

Vacation Pics

Day 3, 4, & 5

So when you travel to Leavenworth the world stops. Your cell phones don't really work and you don't have Internet access. Easter we went to a local vineyard for brunch, it was so much fun and really kid friendly. We then made our way to Leavenworth. Mommy ate a lot of sourkraut and we just relaxed. We rented some movies and let Gregg recover. We took our customary trip to the Christmas shop where Madison bought herself a ruby slipper ornament. While Madison and I were looking Emma kept repeating to herself...."this is a no touching store, mommy says no touching", it was really cute....then she started running again (see last blog). Emma found a stuffed baby Jaguar (from Diego). She is in heaven. So we have made it home.

Day 2

Expect the Unexpected!

So today did not turn out to be what we expected.   Gregg ended up getting sick and we had to take him to the walk-in clinic in Wenatchee.  The girls and I did not want to sit for the estimated 2 1/2 hours so we headed to the mall.  Ah the Wenatchee Mall....when you can see from one end to the other end it fails my definition of a mall.  So after our brisk, short mall walk which included Emma throwing her shoes at people, Madison screaming for toys and throwing her stuffed dog; I decide that maybe we should get a mall snack...oh wait Orange Julius is the food court.  Emma escapes and takes of running down the mall, how she can run faster than me when her legs are 1/3 of the size I do not know.  Does anyone stop the 2 1/2 year old who has a mom visibly running after her? No.  So I finally get to the end of the mall and catcher her (Madison is standing on the other end with the stroller and my purse).  I decide that driving with them buckled in is a better plan.  Needless to say Gregg will be on the mend and the girls and I still got to dye Easter Eggs.  Ah Day 2 of the Vacation.  Here are some pictures.

Family Walk at Lake Chelan

Here are a few pictures of our day.  It was such a beautiful day, we started out with swimming in the pool, chocolate chip pancakes, and then a family drive.  We then walked along the waterfront and downtown.  So much fun.....

Yeah for Mail!!!

One of the girls favorite things is to get mail. Today they got their Easter baskets from Grandma Debi. They are so excited, sticking stickers everywhere, wearing candy braclets, and snapping their toy cameras. It inspired them to make mail for others. Cleo is also enjoying the fake grass that was stuffed in the large eggs. Thank you for all the love packages sent to us, we truely feel loved and blessed.

Mom, I can see!

Madison has glasses. Isn't she just the cutest kid in the world. I may be slightly bias. She has her glasses for reading, coloring, crafting, and video games (video games being the most important to her). Pray that this will help her with her letter recognition in school.

St. Paddy Day!

Last night I packed everyone's lunches, all green of course. Green M&Ms, Green Fishies, Shamrock shaped sandwiches, green napkins, and green juice. This morning I have the bright idea to make green chocolate chip pancakes. Chocolate chip pancakes being one of the girls favorite breakfast choices. Of course Maddy would have nothing to do with the green pancake, but enjoyed the green table. Here are some images of our St. Paddy Day.

Just Starting Out

Ok so this is my first attempt at blogging (I think that is what its called). I decided everyone else is doing it and since I am such a follower I made a page myself. I don't know how I am going to find time to blog, Myspace, and face book but we will take a stab at it. I am hopping that this blog will keep family and friends up to date on the latest with the girls. I wish I would of been able to do this when the girls were in the hospital or when Gregg and I were in quarantine with Maddy for three years. But never late then never.
I also want to say that those of you who filled out the survey and said I play by the rules all the time....I want you to know I put BRIGHT Pink/Red highlights in my hair. (don't worry Sister I wont have it for the wedding in June).
